One of our key initiatives is offering sober homes for individuals recovering from addiction. These homes provide a safe, stable, and supportive environment for those transitioning from rehabilitation to independent living.
Our sober homes are designed to foster a sense of community, accountability, and structure, which are crucial for long-term recovery. Residents are surrounded by peers who share similar experiences, creating a network of support that encourages sobriety and personal growth. By providing affordable housing in a sober, substance-free environment, we help individuals rebuild their lives, regain independence, and reintegrate into society with the tools and confidence they need to maintain their recovery.

The Cory Boyker Foundation is one of the few national organizations committed to providing affordable housing for all low- and moderate-income populations. We proudly serve families, seniors, individuals with special needs, and those recovering from addiction. Our offerings include a full spectrum of affordable housing solutions, such as supportive housing for formerly homeless individuals, transitional housing, permanent rental options, and sober homes for people recovering from addiction. These sober homes provide a stable, substance-free environment where individuals can rebuild their lives and continue their recovery journey.

Community Preservation
The Cory Boyker Foundation is actively addressing the critical shortage of affordable housing through affordable housing preservation. Thousands of multifamily rental properties are at risk of being removed from the affordable housing market due to expiring public funding. By purchasing, refinancing, and upgrading these properties, the Cory Boyker Foundation ensures long-term affordable housing opportunities without relying heavily on new construction. This approach helps preserve existing housing stock while continuing to serve low- and moderate-income communities.
Sustainable Development
The Cory Boyker Foundation’s sustainability through careful management of human, financial, and environmental resources, we’ve launched the Green Hope Initiative. This initiative brings together our development, construction, property management, asset management, and design teams to advance sustainability goals. It includes a utility baseline project for benchmarking energy use, energy audits, and leveraging federal weatherization and green retrofit funds. We’ve also set sustainable development standards for all new construction.
Sustainable development offers significant benefits to our communities, including lower energy costs and healthier indoor living environments. Recently, the Cory Boyker Foundation completed energy audits and implemented upgrades to improve energy efficiency and reduce building costs. We’ve also partnered with Whirlpool© to ensure that all new properties feature ENERGY STAR-certified dishwashers and refrigerators.
Many properties supported by the Cory Boyker Foundation have received LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, provides a comprehensive framework for implementing green building practices. Each LEED-certified home undergoes third-party verification by ENERGY STAR and LEED Raters, ensuring compliance with key sustainability standards and performance criteria.
